No, not that you bought residential property two years ago and now realize it'll take a miracle to recoup your investment (oh, wait, we did that too)...
Instead, the Josephsens encountered something even more terrifying yesterday: a broken air conditioner (if you look closely at the photo, you'll see Anthony has to perform his tummy time exercises with a fan blowing right on his little body...I'm trying to tell him not to work too hard, but you know how these athletic types are).
Despite the stuffy house, Anthony seems to be in good spirits, but yesterday we were worried that the ingredients were in place for a very, very long night:
-- The broken AC... in Miami... in August...
-- Anthony's immunizations earlier that day, generating the threat of a sore, fussy baby...
-- The fact that a dose of baby Tylenol put Anthony in a deep slumber ALL DAY yesterday, generating the threat of a wide-awake, sore, fussy baby...
Fortunately, things didn't go too badly last night -- Brandon's joking (at least I think he was joking) suggestion that we give the little guy a bedtime snack of more baby Tylenol never had to be implemented -- and someone just arrived to inspect and hopefully fix the AC.
If anyone is interested, we are accepting donations...

Sorry to hear about the AC, but Anthony sure is so cute. Hope it gets working for you soon!

Let's get that fixed by next Friday!
I am so so so sorry about your lack of AC. I am sending cool-happy-baby thoughts your way!
Brandon, remember when you and Justin came to visit me one hot summer day and I turned on the air especially for you guys and it just seemed to get hotter and hotter instead of cooler? Turned out the compressor went bad. Ah, that was expensive to fix and that wasn't even central air. Well, we used that same air conditioner until 2 years ago and finally got new. What we have now is much better even. Still don't have central though. I can imagine how it would be down there without. I am sure it is more humid even than here. That's what I have heard anyway. Hopefully it is fixed by now. (I gather you are having special company next week. Yay!) Keep cool. Love you all. Shirley
