The bottom photo is one-month-old Anthony; the top is the little guy today -- with Pooh Bear on hand for comparison's sake. To mark the big occassion, Anthony donned his St. Louis Cardinals jersey (thanks Aunt Ellen, Uncle Justin and Cousin Bradley!) and "celebrated" with a trip to the doctor (don't worry, Anthony, we'll try not to make that a tradition!)
The bad news: Today's appointment included Anthony's first round of immunizations, which didn't go over too well. I told him mommy hates shots too (until she met one called "epidural") and the fact that I'm letting someone stick him with needles doesn't mean I don't love him. I think he believed me; he calmed down pretty quickly upon being cuddled and fed.
The good news: Anthony continues to grow at a healthy rate, clocking in at 12 pounds, 14 ounces and 23.5 inches. Last month, he was 10 pounds, 3 ounces and 21.5 inches. Out of respect to those who think I'm a neurotic wierdo (rather than just sarcastic), I will not post how Anthony stacks up on the growth percentile chart nor my reaction to said information.
But that doesn't mean I'm not going to check!

Face it, Kelly, you are a sarcastic, neurotic weirdo.
Happy birthday, Anthony! Such a big boy!
Love,
Amanda
Happy Birthday, Anthony! You have grown a lot in a month, and soon you will be towering over Winnie the Pooh. Sorry you had a rough morning, getting your shots today, but I know Mommy made it all better. You look pretty snazzy in your Cardinals outfit! I am looking forward to playing "So big" and "Pattycake" with you soon! And Grandpa will tell you about the Chicago Bears, so your views will be fair and balanced!
Woo hoo! The Cards outfit made the 2-month picture!
Wow! What a big boy. Funny what a difference a month makes. Glad he didn't have trouble with the shots. He does look nice in his Cards outfit. Love you all. Shirley
