We've had a nice quiet weekend in the Josephsen home. Grandpa Dave went home on Wednesday and Grandma Char has been here on morning pancake-making duty and helping out with the little rugrat. Friday, I was an absolute zombie at work after a rough Thursday night with the boy. But, thankfully, the last two nights have been much better, and everybody feels pretty rested. We've not done much this weekend.I've been very lazy watching entirely too much tv and taking in a bunch of movies (football season doesn't start for about a month and a half). I took in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (Not bad, but the scenes are cut so long that I really believe it could have been pared down from 4 hours to about 75 minutes); The Holiday (total chick flick); What's Eating Gilbert Grape (ok); and Boys Don't Cry (overdramatic drivel).
I also fixed our broken garbage disposal. As I had my hand down the disposal, feeling for any loose objects, my mother sauntered over to the switch, flipping it, and scaring the absolute crap out of me. As it turns out, I'm the one who had left the switch on (it wasn't running of course) and she was turning it off. So much for common sense I guess. But, I fixed the problem without losing any appendages.

Anthony had his first meal out at Flanagan's yesterday for lunch. He slept the whole time, but it was certainly a milestone. He's been much more alert recently and seems ready to make some strides.

Is Anthony as depressed as her parents that Brett Favre isn't coming back to save the Packers?

Brandon nearly lost some fingers in the non-functioning disposal? Maybe next time, before sticking your hand down inside the thing, you should try pressing the ~magic~ reset button.
That garbage disposal story is scary! When you think of it, garbage disposals are an accident looking for a happening. Glad your hand wasn't injured so you can still throw the ball to Anthony in years to come! On the movie notes, I loved Gilbert Grape...haven't seen the others. None can probably hold a candle to our previous week's viewing of young Steve McQueen in The Blob! Loved watching My Cousin Vinnie with you too.
The new photos are priceless and Anthony is looking more and more like The Gerber Baby. Love seeing his little foot on the afghan I crocheted for him!
Hi Lyla!
I'm CRUSHED that Brett won't be a Packer next year. And I know your dad is a Viking fan, but it would break my little heart if Brett turns up in purple and yellow! As you can see by my one month pic, I am staying loyal to the Pack!

So Brandon is now a movie critic and a plumber. You went to college a long time for that. Hmmmm. LOL. (Thanks Char for saving Brandon's hand) Anthony is lucky to have such a versatile father. He should grow up with a well rounded knowledge of "things you need to know". Or whatever. He is getting cuter and cuter each day. Love you all. Shirley
