After driving thousands of miles on $4 a gallon gas, Anthony's Grandma and Grandpa Lantau arrived on Friday. Somehow, the credit cards weren't completely maxed out as they came bearing a truckful of presents and various oth
er sundries for their first grandson. The grandparents have slightly more than feigned modest and mild interest in Anthony, by singing, holding, gazing at, watching, changing diapers, and also watching some more, gazing some more, playing with, handling, and generally flat out enjoying the spoiled youngster.He enjoys the attention and is unaware that the second round of grandparents is only a week away. He's lucky to have grandparents who are so loving.

Overall, Anthony is doing great--hungry all the time, growing like crazy, and happy to have finally met some grandparents. He also appears to be on the verge of smiling. Check out the poll to see if he's finally reached this milestone.

It's got to be a smile for sure. And that last picture sure looks like it must be a smile or at least a look of real pleasure. I did't realize that this was the 1st grandchild for the Lantaus. No wonder they had a carload. But 1st or not, it is just as exciting. I can't believe they held out this long. I think your kitty must be related to mine. She would do exactly the same thing. Even looks like mine. Anthony is really growing. He is such a doll. (I want to hold him, too) Love you all. Shirley
Will Grandpa Harry be taking Anthony with him on his next fishing trip? Is the enormous fish was a pike? (We flat-landers are envious.) Vernon looks forward to the day he can take Harper fishing.

Thank you so much for this newest blog entry showing pictures of our adorable grandson. I love watching Grandma Dianne and Grandpa Harry holding their new grandson too. I voted that he was definitely smiling!! He is so cute! Can't wait til next week!!
