Anthony is 20 months! (yesterday)

In honor of Anthony's "birthday" (but mostly because it's cute and I want to always remember how the little fella sounds when he says what was his first and remains his favorite word) I'm posting a video of my favorite 20-month-old:

That's from Anthony glancing at one of those free car sales flyers we grabbed to entertain him at breakfast yesterday. Imagine how he sounded later in the day when Brandon put on the Daytona 500 for a little while. Or how he'll sound in the days before his 16th birthday.

Anyway, listening to Anthony's car talk makes me laugh because he always says it with that Boston "pahk the cah in the Hah-vahd yahd" accent, like he's a member of the Kennedy family who just spotted his car after hours of searching (insert Chappaquiddick joke here). And every time, never fail, no matter how many hundreds of times he finds his Disney Cars books or we drive to school or I drag him through the supermarket parking lot, he always cries out, "Car!" with that same mix of amazement and incredulity and unbridled joy, and then keeps going until someone acknowledges the sheer awesomeness of it all by saying, "Yes, Anthony, that's a car." I wish I got that excited about anything.

Ah the good ol' Thrifty Nickel. The first time we gave Bradley one of those he exhibited a look of "oh my god, you mean they make a whole book with just pictures of cars?" And the best part is that you can throw it away (er, I mean recycle it) and just get a new one when you are out again.

Anyway, what a cutie. Love the video and it sure makes me miss the little guy. Give him a big "mwah!" from his Aunt Ellen!

I love the story, but apparently the video won't come onto my computer. It's just a black space. Darn, I wish I could see it. Bet it is cute. They always are. The cars are sure a fascination for these little guys. Seems natural. Well, it's easy to find something to please him anyway. Any car or wheels will do it. Maybe you could just tape a long car race for him to watch for when he needs entertaining. LOL. Cute. Love you all. Shirley

Hilarious. Especially the insertion of the nod to the Kennedy clan/ Bah-ston accent.
I have noticed a "disturbing" trend. The updates seem to be arriving with less frequency. You know that there is an audience out here; should we just chalk it up to the two of you having less energy, perhaps since your boy has become exponentially more mobile?
