Pumpkin Patch Kid

It's pumpkin time! I think there's a law that says everyone who has a small child has to take that child to a pumpkin patch this time of year.

So, even though I have a very reasonable and justifiable fear of pumpkin patches (something to do with pumpkins rotting due to a certain city's October heat and humidity, sitting on pumpkins to prop up a 4-month-old and standing up to discover pumpkin all over my backside) I manned up (mommed up?) and carted Anthony to the festivities.

I'm glad I did - he got a lot more out of it this year, as he was able to walk around, climb on piles of pumpkins and pick out his own Anthony-sized pumpkin, whereas last year all he could do is lounge where Grandma Char and I put him and endure the endless picture taking (although I swear I heard him snicker when I stood up with pumpkin on my butt and had to ask for a baby wipe...)

I LOVE the "PUMPKIN PATCH KID" and the pictures! So, so cute.
One of those pictures of Anthony will look so good on our 2010 calendar for October. (hint, hint) :)

Can't wait to see you, Kelly and Anthony in just 3 more days!!!

Much love,
Grandma Char

Darling pictures in the pumpkin patch. I love the way Anthony is holding and hugging his little pumpkin like, "Hands off, this one is mine and there is nothing or nobody going to make me let go of it!".And then at the end he takes a knee just to let you know this is it. The first picture he looks like he might be a little concerned that he may be swallowed in amongst all those big pumpkins. You did a great photo session Kelly. And, as usual, a great story to go with it. You will all have so much fun doing trick or treat together for Halloween. And so glad Grandma Char gets to be there to participate. Well, of course, she is. We'd think something was wrong if she didn't, wouldn't we. Have a fun time with all the yummy little M&Ms. And I am sure we will get to see more darling pictures of all of them. Give them all hugs for me. Love you all. Shirley

What an adorable little "pumpkin" Anthony is! Looking at our October calendar page from last year, when he was 4 months old--wow, has he changed! Looks like he really had fun this year, now that he can run around. Can't wait to see you both on Thursday!

Cute pictures! I'm currently checking e-mail from my iPod with my hotel's WiFi - aren't you proud of how hi-tech I am? Ha ha! I'm in Cambodia right now, and having a lot of fun on my bike trip. Talk to you later!

Love, Kerry
