Anthony is 14 months old today!

Fourteen months...if that's not enough proof of Anthony's "big boy" status, last week his daycare gave us the information packet for their "Toddler Room," where he'll be moving in September. Looks like he managed to not flunk "Nursery" - phew!

And, apparently, actual toddling? Totally not a prerequisite for the Toddler Room!

Anyway, the shift across the hall means new friends, new teachers and new activities (yay!) as well as a new one-a-day nap schedule and new germs (boo). Hopefully the little fella will handle the change with his usual good spirits and enjoy wreaking havoc on his new surroundings.

Anthony is also growing up in other ways: "talking" more and more, eating better if not always perfectly healthfully (he can inhale an entire PB&J in about 90 seconds flat), sleeping through the night (more often than not) and even sitting quietly on the bed in the mornings so we can get ready for work in peace. While time and my stellar cooking skills are surely behind the first three, we have only one person to thank for number four:

Ahhh, Kai-Lan. You may be the first step on my child's slipperly slope to couch potato-ism, but you do ensure that I can (usually) get to work with matching shoes, brushed hair and at least enough makeup to cover my pimples.

I had to Google Kai-Lan... I found a description on Wikipedia, and it sounds like such a cool show! Can Anthony say "You make my heart feel super happy!" in Mandarin yet? Ha ha...

Love, Aunt Kerry

Congratulations, Anthony, on both your 14 month birthday, and on "graduating" to the Toddler Room! You are getting to be such a big boy! I had to google Kai-Lan too, like Kerry. It does sound like a fun show, and Grandpa and I will look forward to watching it with Anthony when we visit! It is so fun when your baby starts to develop an interest in some aspect of pop culture. I was wondering what tv show would capture his imagination first!

Happy 14 months to Anthony! It sounds like he is "sleeping in" a little more often. No wonder you have been having so much more energy to organize and clean, Kelly. You are getting more sleep! I need you to come and help me clean and organize our basement. Ellen says she is willing to help too. Wouldn't we three have a fun time!!??

Can't wait to see how much Anthony has grown and changed.

Love to all,
Grandma Char

Whoa, I am way behind here. Don't know why. Well, I better hurry up so Anthony doesn't just grow away from me. Congratulations on the promotion, Anthony. You'll do just fine advancing with the others. Glad he is sleeping better for you two. That helps so much in how you feel all the next day. And probably him too. Well he is in the right family if he loves peanut butter sandwiches. I think I use to buy that stuff by the gallons for my kids. Still a popular thing to have around. And Hoo-Ray to Kai-Lin! We all need little assistants like that. I mean sometimes what would we do without them? Glad you found her. Love you all. Shirley
