This Christmas we spent visiting family in Illinois - along with an unexpected mini-vacation in Atlanta. Or something like that. - and taught Anthony all the holiday ropes.
He got the hang of the gift opening thing...

...and then really got into it.

He liked the hat to wear outside to play in the snow...

...but wasn't so sure about the white stuff itself.

On the way home, he got a good look at Bloomington's own Adlai Stevenson...

...lent a hand with the bags...

...helped us ring in the New Year high above the ground, Airtran-style...

...and smiled with the warm Miami air hit his face once again.

Now, it's back to the park...

...and to getting caught up with old friends.

Happy New Year from all of us, and all the best in 2010!

We love the photos! I wonder what Anthony was thinking as he gazed at the A. Stevenson statue?? Pretty funny. It was fun sharing his first "real" Christmas with you! I think you took some of the cold Midwest back with you to Florida. I think next year he will enjoy the snow more!
What? No mention of the three little tornadoes that ripped through the Bloomington-Normal area and the damage they left in their wakes? This makes it sound so tame!
It was so awesome to spend Christmas with you guys and will have a hard time waiting the 26 days, 18 hours, 27 minutes and change until we hear the "toot toot" of that big cruise ship pulling out of the Port of Miami. Is that a margarita I hear being poured?
Oh how cute. I especially love the picture of Anthony sitting on the bench with Adlai Stevenson. And his experience with snow. That is priceless. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. More memories to add to your folder. So a cruise is in the near future. I am assuming Grandma gets some kids. Or I should say some Grandmas and Grandpas. That will be real nice. Love you all and Happy New Year. Shirley
Ellen's right, I did gloss over the true chaos that can only be provided by three little boys in one house...but she can be glad I also left out descriptions of her Miley Cyrus impression and Justin's Wilt Chamberlain impression!
It was great seeing you guys too! And actually, I think that was the whir of a blender mixing up a Pina Colada that you heard...
That was YOUR Wilt Chamberlain impression, Kelly.
My blog = not my impression.
Hey, did Brandon guess my impression or not?
